What Members Expect from a Trade Association
Businesses that join a trade association are making an investment. They pay annual subscriptions - often significant ones - on the expectation that the association will represent their interests, provide valuable information and networking opportunities, and operate with the professionalism befitting a body that speaks for an entire industry.
When a trade association fails to meet these expectations - when membership cards arrive late, directories are out of date, event communications are poorly organized, and financial reports are unclear - members question the value of their subscription and renewal rates decline.
