Fair Usage Policy

This policy explains the resource-usage expectations and safeguards that help keep JamiiCore Cloud reliable for all Organizations.

4.1 Scope of the Policy

This Fair Usage Policy ("FUP") governs the use of resources provided by Nexus Forge Africa Limited through the JamiiCore Cloud Platform. Its purpose is to ensure that all Organizations receive a reliable, high-quality experience and that no single Organization's use disproportionately affects the performance, availability, or cost of the Platform for others.

This FUP applies to all features and resources available on the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Data storage (Member records, documents, uploaded files).
  • Bulk SMS and email communications.
  • API access and automated integrations.
  • PDF report generation.
  • Data export and backup operations.

4.2 Fair Use Limits

Each subscription plan includes specified usage allowances. While we do not impose rigid per-minute limits, we reserve the right to implement rate limiting, throttling, or temporary suspension of access where usage materially exceeds the norms for your plan. Indicative limits are:

  • Bulk SMS: up to 1,000 messages per day per Organization on standard plans. Higher volumes require a custom plan.
  • Bulk email: up to 5,000 emails per day per Organization on standard plans.
  • API requests: up to 10,000 requests per hour per Organization.
  • Data storage: as specified in your subscription plan. Overages will be billed at our prevailing excess storage rate.
  • PDF report generation: up to 200 reports per day per Organization.

4.3 Prohibited Activities

The following activities constitute a breach of this FUP and may result in suspension or termination of access:

  • Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam) to Members or third parties.
  • Using the Platform's communication tools for commercial advertising unrelated to the Organization's legitimate activities.
  • Operating automated scripts or bots that generate excessive API traffic.
  • Deliberately circumventing usage limits through multiple accounts or other technical means.
  • Uploading malware, viruses, or any malicious code to the Platform.
  • Storing or transmitting content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party rights.

4.4 Enforcement

Where we detect usage that may violate this FUP, we will:

  • Attempt to contact the Organization's Administrator by email to discuss the issue.
  • Where necessary, implement temporary rate limiting or throttling to protect Platform performance.
  • In serious cases, suspend access pending investigation and resolution.
  • In cases of deliberate abuse, terminate access in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
  • We will always seek to work collaboratively with Organizations to resolve FUP issues before taking enforcement action.

4.5 Upgrades for High-Volume Users

Organizations that require usage beyond standard plan limits are encouraged to contact us at legal@nexusforgeafrica.com to discuss a custom enterprise plan with higher or unlimited allowances. We are committed to accommodating growing communities and will work with you to find a solution.
